About Me
I'm a 40's-something, divorced, and happily remarried, Midwest mom to 3 amazing kids. I received my undergrad degree in teaching from Western Michigan University, and obtained my master's in early childhood education teaching at a nature-based preschool. I have taught in some capacity for most of my life, working with children and families of all ages.
My most recent position was as a family coach and liaison through our local county’s Great Start Collaborative. In this position, I worked with a wide range of families, local agencies, and community partners, like schools, libraries, pediatricians, and more. I had so much fun planning events, connecting folks with supports, and getting to know and love our local families. I was so sad when our state’s budget eliminated this valuable early childhood grant, but I took it as my sign to shift gears and follow my creative passions.
I have a deep love for learning, teaching, and human connection. I also have an (argumentatively deeper) love for morning coffee with my husband, laughing with my teens, and force-snuggling my anti-social labradoodle, Yoshi.
Why did I start The Soulmates Post?
I found myself posting more and more about relationships, divorce, and transformative beliefs that helped me go from a life where I felt sad and stuck, to one that now feels aligned and magical. As I connected with others, I realized there are so many women who feel the same way I used to.
I started seeing posts about snail mail clubs and FELL IN LOVE with the concept. I loved seeing everyone’s unique take on the “Return to Analog,” and I wanted to create my own, but add the details and behind-the-scenes self-love work that has transformed my life.
My ENTIRE life changed for the better once I learned to calm my nervous system, change my beliefs, and learn to love and trust myself. When you go from how I was feeling to how I feel today, you want every single woman on the planet to feel the same. I was able to shift my life in ways that I still can't quite believe!
After 20+ years of work, I figured out what it takes to truly love myself. I wanted to create a space for other heart-led women who can grow in their self-love as a community!
